The Head of Service, Kano State, has called on civil servants to strictly adhere to the Civil Service ethical code and show greater commitment, discipline, and dedication in their duties.
She stressed that compliance with rules and standards is essential for an efficient and accountable public service, urging workers to avoid negligence, lateness, absenteeism, and other misconduct.
Rukayya Uba Sulaiman, Director, Public Enlightenment, Office of the Head of Service, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen.
Civil servants were encouraged to take responsibility for their roles, improve productivity, and ensure timely and diligent execution of assignments. She also emphasized professionalism, integrity, accountability, and respect for authority as key guiding principles.
According to her, a strong and effective Civil Service depends on workers prioritizing public interest and maintaining high ethical standards.
She further directed Permanent Secretaries and heads of departments to strengthen supervision and ensure compliance, while urging staff to support ongoing efforts to improve service delivery in Kano State.
The Head of Service expressed confidence that sustained discipline and commitment would enhance the efficiency of the State Civil Service.
