The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Saidu Yahaya, has reportedly resigned his appointment.
Sources said Yahaya’s resignation followed mounting pressure from the Kano State Government over alleged concerns about his political loyalty and perceived closeness to former Kano Governor Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
However, the circumstances surrounding the reported resignation remain unclear, as neither Yahaya nor the Kano State Government has publicly confirmed the development as of the time of filing this report.
Yahaya was appointed chairman of the PCACC in August 2025 following the expiration of the tenure of the former chairman, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado. He was approved by the Kano State House of Assembly for a five-year tenure.
