Kano State is set to host the 45th annual Federal Public Service Games (FEPSGA), with over 8,000 participants from 80 federal agencies and the Federal Capital Territory expected to converge on the state.
Ahead of the games scheduled for October 6 to 16, 2026, the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida, is expected to lead top government officials on an inspection of facilities on Monday, September 20.
The Kano State Government secured the hosting rights as part of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to strengthening the relationship between the government and workers while promoting their health and wellbeing through sports.
Speaking on preparations for the games, Babangida said the inspection of facilities was part of the commission’s efforts to ensure a successful and hitch-free event.
He commended Governor Yusuf for his commitment and support to sports development in the state, assuring that all stakeholders would work together to project the image of Kano during the championships.
“We are working closely with the Office of the State Head of Service to actualise the set objectives,” Babangida said.
