State Of The Nation:ADC Organises Special Prayers In Katsina

Katsina State chapter of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) has at the weekend organised special prayers invoking God’s mercy and protection on Nigeria and the citizens.
A statement signed by Malam Abubakar Ahmed, Spokesman to Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial Campaign, said the prayer session was organised by the party’s State House of Assembly Aspirants/Candidates Forum and held at the Sen. Ahmad Babba Kaita,Gubernatorial Campaign Office in the capital city of Katsina.
In his welcome address, Chairman of the forum, Hon. Abdurrazak Kaita, said the forum invited Islamic scholars who memorised the Holy Qur’an and shared the concerns of the current multi-sectoral suffering facing Nigerians to read the Holy Book from beginning to end with the intention of praying Allah to come to the aid of the citizens and the nation.
Kaita said, the Qur’anic recitations started in the early hours of Saturday and lasted till around 5:30pm when many other citizens from all walks of life and cut across all political party lines joined in the salutations.
He disclosed that prayers were particularly held against corruption, banditry and all those behind them, kidnapping, poverty and bad leadership throughout the country.
Also in his remarks to the event, Spokesman to Sen Ahmad Babba Kaita Gubernatorial candidate, Abubakar Ahmed appreciated the concern and initiative of the organizers and prayed Allah to accept the calls as well as grant lasting solution to the hardships being faced by Nigerians.
Ahmed revealed that his principal who has now recovered from his illness after undergoing a surgery abroad, is now expected back in Nigeria to fully carryout his political activities ahead of the upcoming 2027 polls.
The special prayers were also offered for the success of the ADC Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, speedy recovery, safe return and victory of the Katsina State ADC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita and success of all candidates vying for elective positions in the 2027 general elections throughout the country.
