Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, has condoled with the family of the late twin sisters, Dr. Hadiya Usman (Hassana) and Dr. Aidah Usman (Usaina), who passed away just two days apart.
Governor Buni expressed deep sadness over the deaths of the two sisters, describing their passing as a painful and devastating loss to their family, the medical profession and the people of Yobe State.
Dr. Hadiya Usman, a Medical Doctor (MD), passed away on Friday, while her twin sister, Dr. Aidah Usman, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), sadly passed away on Sunday.
The two deceased were the twin daughters of Dr. Hadiza Usman, the former Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Nguru, Yobe State.
Governor Buni, who described the deaths of the sisters within such a short period as particularly heartbreaking, extended his heartfelt condolences to their mother, immediate family, friends, colleagues and the people of Nguru.
In a demonstration of the seriousness with which the state government regards the unfortunate incident, Governor Buni has dispatched a high-powered delegation to Nguru to personally convey his condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
The delegation comprises the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof. Abba Idriss Adam; Commissioner for Health, Hon. Muhammad Lawan Gana; Alhaji Abubakar Salihu Bakabe; Permanent Member, INEC; the Chairman of Nguru Local Government Council; the APC Chairman, Nguru Local Government; and the Focal Person on Inter-Party Affairs.
Governor Buni prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased sisters, grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and give their mother and other members of the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
