Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has given out his sister, Hajiya Rahama Umar Sule, in marriage to the APC Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Alhaji Halliru Saidu Rijinduna.
The wedding Fatiha was held on Friday at Masjid Umar Bn Khattab, Sabuwar Kasuwa Garo, with a dowry of N200,000.
Garo served as the Waliyyi (guardian) of the bride, while Malam Sadis represented the groom as his Wakili.
The ceremony was attended by family members, political associates and other well-wishers who gathered to witness the solemnisation of the marriage.
In a goodwill message, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, congratulated the couple and their families on the occasion, praying for Allah’s blessings, love, understanding and lasting peace in their marriage.
Shortly after the wedding, the Deputy Governor visited the residence of a prominent politician in Garo town, Risla Mato, to offer condolences over the death of his son, Ukasha Risla, who reportedly died in a fatal accident on Thursday.

Garo, who visited on behalf of Governor Yusuf, conveyed the governor’s sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
On his way back, the Deputy Governor stopped briefly to inspect the ongoing construction of the Kano North APC headquarters for a group tagged, APC SAK, in Kanye, Garo Ward. The project is being sponsored by Alhaji Hashimu Yahaya, popularly known as Sarkin Matasan Kabo.
According to Alhaji Hashimu, the construction of the headquarters is a gesture of appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for engaging Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo as his deputy.
He said APC SAK has a presence across all 13 local government areas of Kano North and pledged to mobilise and sensitise voters across the zone on the need to re-elect Governor Yusuf in the 2027 general elections.
