The first 100 days of Aliyu Sa’ad Yerima as Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State have featured projects and interventions in security, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and infrastructure development.
Yerima disclosed this on Wednesday at the local government secretariat while commissioning projects to mark his first 100 days in office.
He said his administration had worked with security agencies and other stakeholders to address security challenges affecting parts of the local government area.
The chairman commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his administration’s contributions to peace and development in Hong, pledging to execute more projects that directly benefit residents.
Yerima said the council had renovated the local government secretariat and furnished offices to improve the working environment for staff.

He added that utility vehicles had been procured for the offices of the chairman and vice-chairman, as well as the Huba Traditional Council, to support security operations and other administrative activities.
Other interventions, according to the chairman, included the rehabilitation of roads in Wurodole to mitigate erosion, the procurement of a 100kVA transformer, the payment of bursary allowances to students and the upgrading of primary healthcare infrastructure.

The projects, he said, were part of efforts to improve service delivery and address the needs of residents despite the security challenges facing the area.
Also speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Augustine James, commended Yerima for implementing the projects within his first 100 days in office.
James urged residents of Hong to continue supporting the Fintiri administration and leaders at all levels.
Some attendees at the event also congratulated the chairman on the projects commissioned to mark the milestone and expressed hopes for continued development during his tenure.
