The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership (AYAGL) has passed a vote of confidence on NNPCL Executive Vice President, Mumuni Dagazau.
The group announced its position in a statement signed by its President, Alhaji Danbature Abdul-Abdul-Hamid, on Friday.
It said the decision reflected its confidence in Dagazau’s leadership and contribution to the downstream petroleum sector.
AYAGL described calls for Dagazau’s suspension as politically motivated, arguing that unsubstantiated allegations against public officials could distract institutions from their responsibilities.
The assembly urged stakeholders to allow relevant authorities to address any concerns through appropriate channels rather than relying on public accusations.
It also called on its state chapters and affiliate groups to support Dagazau and promote stability within the petroleum industry.
The group reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying stable leadership was important for implementing ongoing energy sector reforms.
