BUK announces final extension for students’ registration exercise
The management of Bayero University, Kano, has announced a final extension in its registration exercise of students for the ongoing academic session during a meeting held today (Monday) at the Institution.
In a statement released by the Institution’s Deputy Registrar on Public Affairs, Lamara Garba, he disclosed the University Management took the decision after observing that a significant number of students are yet to complete their registration for the ongoing academic session.
He further explained that the university also took the crucial decision as a response to appeals from the Governments of Kano and Jigawa states, as well as student union bodies and other concerned parties.
“Students now have until midnight on Saturday, September 30, 2023, to complete their registration. Importantly, this extension is final, and there will be no further prolongation of the registration period beyond this date”
“It is essential for all students to take heed of this final extension and ensure they complete their registration before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in these students being ineligible to sit for the first-semester examinations of the 2022/2023 academic session” stated Lamara.
Garba noted that the management of BUK wishes to express its profound gratitude and appreciation to various stakeholders especially some catchment states for their unwavering support in facilitating the registration of students.
He equally stressed that Bayero University, Kano, remains committed to the welfare of its students and seeks their cooperation in adhering to this extended registration timeline.
