Yari presents cash, assorted grains to family of late VON Reporter, Danjibga

Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has presented the donation of 30 bags of assorted grains and one million cash to the immediate family of late VON Reporter, Hamisu Haruna Danjibga.

Presenting the gesture through a 3-man Committee led by Zayyanu Dan Auta Mafara, Senator Yari, said the aim of the donation was to assist the deceased family in alleviating hardship situation the death of their breadwinner may cause them.

The donation which consist of twenty bags of rice, five bags of millet, five bags of corn and the sum of one million naira cash were presented to the immediate family of late Danjibga at his Samaru resident in Gusau the state capital by the committee members.

Speaking, the leader of the committee conveyed that, Senator Abdulaziz Yari who earlier pledged the gesture to the deceased family last week Sunday, said he would not relent to register his deep concern on the lives of the late Danjibga’s family considering massive contributions he gave towards the development of the state and nation at large.

“Let me use this medium to call on the security agencies to ensure that the pains of untimely death of Danjibga must not go unattended and unpunished, therefore, should expedite investigation into his brutal killing with a view to bring the perpetrators to book for justice”, the committee has delivered.

In their separate remarks, the two other committee members, Dahiru Sama’ila Mafara and Abubakar S. Limanchi respectively, emphasizt that the gesture was not meant for inheritance or distribution for other relatives, but strictly to be benefited by the deceased immediate family which involved only his widowed wife and children left behind.

Receiving the donation on behalf of late Danjibga’s family, hon. Aminu Abubakar Danjibga, commended Senator Yari for the timely support, saying, the deceased family will judiciously use the donation as presented by the concern Senator’s delegation.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Corresponts’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara State Council, Comrade Sani Haruna Dutsinma, thanked the Senator for the donation, assuring that, Journalists shall continue to pursue the case to the logical conclusion until the culprits are prosecuted to face the wrath of law.
