New ICPC boss, Dr Aliyu, a renewed hope in fight against corruption

Where there is no struggle, there is no strength and in every successful person one must have got to stay strong to be strong in tough times.
 
As Nigerians witness yet another outstanding appointment of Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu as the new chairman and chief executive officer of ICPC by the President of Federal republic of Nigeria Chief Bola Ahmad Tinubu in furtherance of his renewed hope mandate to reform the sector and invigorate Nigeria’s war on corruption.
 
No doubt, upon his announcement by Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, many people from across the length and breath of this country started hailing the president over the appointment of the former Attorney General and commissioner for Justice in Jigawa State Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu to head the independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) describing his appointment as well deserved and timely.
 
This is a clear testament of his hardworking, dedication, commitment and loyalty. His tenacity knows no bounds as he knows pretty well that trying times are no time to quit trying. And that’s what makes Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu unique amongst others; he quits the job when the job is done, not when he’s tired.
 
Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu is certainly a personality who gives his all and afford himself in every opportunity possible to achieve success right from his career.
 
A silent achiever per excellence whose pedigree knows no boundaries when it comes with hardworking spirit, dedication, integrity and utmost respect to upholding the rule of law.
 
His achievements is well deserved, his outstanding service and exceptional contributions to the legal system in Jigawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
 
Dr Aliyu  an indigene of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State, who  obtained his LL.B degree from Bayero University Kano in 2003, Degree in Islamic Law in 2011 from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a PhD degree in 2019 at the School of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia.
 
He served as the Vice-Chairman of the NBA, Kano Branch from 2016-2017. He was appointed as the Jigawa State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice by the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, on September 30, 2019.
 
Dr. Aliyu started his career as a lawyer at AKI P.A. and Company in Gombe State and later moved to A.A. Umar & Co. in Kano State, which was established by the late Aliyu Umar SAN. He was also named as a senior Advocate of Nigeria in October 2023.
 
It’s a known fact that Dr Aliyu is an achiever per excellence and performer with sterling open records to show and a man that delivers on any assigned responsibilities.
 
His boldness, commitment and selfless service will be felt by all Nigerians as he takes on his role as the new ICPC boss.
 
His appointment is a clear indication of the President’s resolve to decisively deal with all forms of corruption in Nigeria.
 
As such, Musa’s appointment could therefore be described as a reward for hard work. With the coming onboard as the new chief of ICPC, well meaning Nigerians expect him to remain focused, determined and strategic so as to reaffirm his competence and his capability to take on this critical role in our nation’s fight against corruption.
 
His vast wealth of his experience will certainly be the driving force in making Nigeria corruption free by ensuring equity and justice as he embarked on massive reforms towards fighting corruption in Nigeria.
 
This is the hope of all Nigerians as championed by the visionary former Attorney General and former commissioner of justice in Jigawa State.
 
Without doubt, let Mr President be rest assured that the commission is under a safe hand as the person in charge is well capable, a no nonsense personality who will fight injustice and corruption and renew hope of a better Nigeria that is corruption free.
 
These are qualities that have manifested in him as we wish the new chairman/ chief executive officer of ICPC a successful tenure in office.
