Gov. Buni Donates N5 million To Winner of Qur’anic Recitation Competition

The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has donated N5 million to Ibrahim Muhammad Nasir, who emerged as the overall winner of the National Qur’anic Recitation Competition.

Nasir, who emerged as the winner of this year’s (38) Qur’anic recitation competition is an indigenous of Bauchi State. 

The ceremony to honour the winner was held at the Federal College of Education Damaturu in Yobe State on Saturday. The competition was held last year in Sokoto, Sokoto State.

Zainab Aliyu Muhammad from Kano State emerged as the overall winner of the female competition. 

Previously, Nura Abdullahi from Sokoto State emerged as the overall winner of the National Qur’anic Recitation Competition in January 2023. 

On the occasion, the governor was accompanied by his deputy, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Sen. Ibrahim Geidam and SSG to Yobe State Government.
