A Cry for Justice Amid Deep Sorrow: Dr. Mani Tsoho Commends Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Kano Police as Kano Mourns Kumbotso Victims

The Executive Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dr. Mani Tsoho, has expressed profound grief and deep sympathy over the brutal killing of six innocent people at Charanchi Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, describing the incident as a tragic loss that has shaken the conscience of the entire state.
Dr. Mani Tsoho noted that the unfortunate incident has left families devastated and communities heartbroken, stressing that the sanctity of human life must always be protected.
He described the victims as innocent citizens whose lives were cut short unjustly, calling for collective reflection, compassion, and resolve to prevent a recurrence of such acts.
The Executive Chairman strongly commended His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, FNISE, for his swift, courageous, and people-oriented response to the tragedy.
He praised the Governor for immediately approving the establishment of a high-powered committee of investigation to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the killings.
According to Dr. Mani Tsoho, the Governor’s tireless effort in setting up the investigation committee reflects a clear commitment to justice, accountability, and transparency, assuring the people of Kano State that no act of brutality will be ignored or treated lightly under the present administration.
He also applauded the Kano State Police Command under the able leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, for their professionalism, dedication, and relentless efforts that led to the arrest of three suspects allegedly connected to the killing of the six victims.
Dr. Mani Tsoho further extended commendation to other security personnel involved in the operation, noting that their collaboration, vigilance, and sacrifice demonstrate the readiness of security agencies to protect lives and restore public confidence in the security system.
He described the arrest of the suspects as a significant step toward justice and a source of renewed hope for the grieving families, stressing that accountability is essential for healing, peace, and the restoration of trust within society.
The Gwarzo Local Government Chairman extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, praying that Almighty Allah grants the departed eternal rest and gives their loved ones the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
Dr. Mani Tsoho reaffirmed the full support of Gwarzo Local Government Area to the investigation committee and all lawful processes aimed at ensuring that justice is served without fear or favour, in accordance with the rule of law.
He called on residents of Kano State, particularly the people of Kumbotso Local Government Area, to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of the authorities, urging them to avoid the spread of rumors or actions that could undermine peace and ongoing investigations.
