By Abubakar Rabilu, Gombe

The traditional title holder of Bargan Gombe, Hon. Abubakar Sadeeq Gidado, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Abdul’aziz Abdul’aziz for the role of Presidential Spokesperson, following the voluntary resignation of Ajuri Ngelale.

Abdul’aziz, born and educated up to university level in Kano, Nigeria, began his career as a creative writer and newspaper contributor before securing his first journalism role in 2007. Since then, he has held various positions across Nigeria’s media landscape. Prior to being considered for the role of Media Aide to the President, Abdul’aziz served as the Deputy General Editor at Daily Trust newspaper.

He has participated in several journalism and creative writing workshops, including the British Council writing workshop, facilitated by renowned author Bernardine Evaristo, and the Farafina Trust workshop led by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in 2012. His work in journalism and creative writing has earned him numerous nominations and awards, with some of his poems being anthologized.

Having closely observed Abdul’aziz’s career, Bargan Gombe passionately appealed to President Tinubu, highlighting Abdul’aziz’s strong performance and vast experience in the media industry. He emphasized that Abdul’aziz Abdul’aziz is a deserving candidate for the position of Presidential Spokesperson.

“Abdul’aziz is an exemplary candidate, with over a decade of experience in the media industry,” said Bargan Gombe. “He has a deep understanding of media dynamics, communication strategies, and public relations, allowing him to effectively navigate complex messaging to ensure that key narratives reach their intended audiences with clarity and precision.”

Bargan Gombe further noted Abdul’aziz’s proficiency in both traditional and modern media platforms, which makes him uniquely suited to manage the diverse communication needs of the presidency. His professionalism and integrity have earned him widespread respect within the industry.

“Abdul’aziz’s commitment to ethical journalism and honest communication guarantees that he will represent the presidency with credibility and transparency,” Bargan Gombe added.

In a time when public trust in government communications is increasingly critical, Abdul’aziz’s reputation and skill set position him as the ideal successor to Ajuri Ngelale, ensuring continuity and excellence in the office of the Presidential Spokesperson.
