Adamawa APC Denies Endorsement of Tinubu/Ribadu 2027 Ticket

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has debunked media reports suggesting it has endorsed National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, as a running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 elections.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Mohammed Abdullahi, the party described the report as false and misleading, attributing it to “mischief-makers” intent on creating disunity.
“The meeting held in Hong Local Government was part of our ongoing grassroots mobilisation tour. It was aimed at strengthening party structures and reaffirming our support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid,” the statement clarified.
While confirming that a vote of confidence was passed on Ribadu for his exceptional performance as NSA, the party stressed that this should not be mistaken for a political endorsement.
“Appointments are solely at the discretion of the President. The party respects that prerogative and will not preempt his decisions,” Abdullahi added.
The APC called on the public and media to disregard the misleading reports, reaffirming its unwavering support for President Tinubu as the party’s 2027 flagbearer.
“We remain firmly behind President Tinubu and will continue to mobilise support to ensure his re-election with an overwhelming mandate,” the statement concluded.
