Adamawa: Ardo advises SDP not to participate in LG polls

The Adamawa state Candidate of the Social Democratic party, SDP in the 2023 governorship election, Dr.Umar Ardo has advice his party leadership not to participate in the forthcoming local government councils election in the state.
Ardo made his position known at a press briefing held in Yola Wednesday alleging that the slated 13th July 2003 local council polls have been allegedly compromised already by the ruling peoples Democratic party.
Ardo contested that the state Independent Electoral Commission has not convinced the electorate of its readiness for the exercise citing that the umpire didn’t forwarded the voter’s register it intend to use talk less of other election materials such as vivas, office stamps among others.
Ardo wondered how can a political party sales chairmanship nomination form for N10million noting that the action was a calculated attempt to denied other unfavored interested members of the party.
He admonished the electorate to have a rethink on the way and manner developments are unfolding in the country noting that those in positions of leadership must be held responsible for the hardship being experience.
He challenge people to fight for their rights decrying that the system of governance is almost collapsing as a result of bad managers.
“Nigerians need to change their conduct towards policies that are not favourable and must speak out loudly for good change”.Ardo regretted.
On the lingering insecurity in the land, Ardo called on government and critical stakeholders to put hands on deck to solving the menace once and for all.
He maintained that poverty and hunger are the major indicators causing the hardship as well as insecurity which he opined must be address squarely.
Recall that the chairman of the Adamawa state Independent Electoral Commission, Muhammad Jabu had recently in a meeting with the political parties chairmen in the state pledged to ensure free,fair and credible election.
