Adamawa Govt Proposes N225.8bn As 2024 Budget

All arrangements have been concluded by the Adamawa state government to present a budget proposal of N225.8 billion for the 2024 fiscal year.
The development was made public in Yola Wednesday after the weekly state executive council meeting indicating that the council’s budget approval would be presented by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri before the legislature at the state Assembly tomorrow,Friday.
Commissioner Information and strategy,Hon. Neido Geoffrey while addressing journalists said the
expenditure tagged ‘Budget of Reengineering’ said the budget was crafted by the government based on citizens’ needs and economic realities of the day.
Contributing, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Emmanuel Piridimso said N111.3bn representing 49.3% was earmarked for recurrent services while N114.5bn naira representing 50.7% is to cover the capital expenditure.
Hon. Piridimso added that, the proposed budget if given due consideration and approval by the lawmakers will go a long way in the provision of more devidends of democracy in the state.
Public analysts have been waiting for the presentation of the budget with a view addressing many policies with direct bearing on the populace in the state.
