Adamawa PDP Cautions Party Leaders on Discipline, Inclusivity

From Umar Dankano, Yola

The Adamawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the leadership of the party at the local government and ward levels to imbibe the principles of discipline and inclusivity in their various areas of administration.

Chairman of the party, Alhaji Hamza Madagali, gave the directive to all party executives across the 21 local government areas and 226 wards during a familiarization meeting held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yola, on Wednesday.

Madagali emphasized that the leadership would not tolerate high-handedness or dictatorship from party leaders at any level, noting that political activities toward the 2027 general elections have already begun in earnest.

He charged party members to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and register massively ahead of the 2027 elections, declaring that mobilization toward victory must commence immediately.

The chairman also directed party leaders to ensure the establishment of functional party offices, complete with party flags, in every nook and cranny across the 21 local government areas of the state.

Speaking during the meeting, the PDP Chairman of Girei Local Government, Ahmad Musa Akai, popularly known as “Hero,” commended the Hamza Madagali-led state executive for organizing the interactive session with the state EXCO, stressing that the PDP in Adamawa has no internal crisis.

Musa described Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s transformation drive in the state as a testament to good governance, which he said remains the guiding principle of the party.

He assured that, as loyal members of the PDP, they remain committed to mobilizing the people, noting that effective grassroots mobilization is the key to victory in the 2027 general elections in Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.

Our correspondent in Yola reports that during the interface, speaker after speaker emphasized the importance of an open-door policy where everyone’s opinion is valued in the running of the party’s affairs.
