Adamawa PDP Chairman Urges Bwatiye People to Register Massively Ahead of 2027 Elections
From Umar Dankano, Yola
The newly elected Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, Alhaji Hamza Madagali, has urged members of the party, particularly the Bwatiye people, to take advantage of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and register massively ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Madagali made the call on Monday in Yola while hosting members of the Bwatiye community who paid a solidarity visit to the state party executives. He encouraged them to ensure they are registered, as it would enable them to exercise their right to vote for candidates of their choice.
The PDP Chairman assured his visitors that the party is fully prepared to produce a credible and reliable successor to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who will continue to build on the governor’s positive legacies.
According to him, the emergence of the new party executives is a testament to the good leadership of Governor Fintiri, which has brought peace and progress to the PDP in Adamawa State, unlike what is obtainable in some other political parties. He further pledged to maintain an open-door policy that would enhance the growth and development of the party.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor of the state, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, who is also the leader of the Bwatiye people, congratulated the new party executives during the visit.
Represented by Chief Python Power, the Adviser to Governor Fintiri on Local Government Affairs, she commended the governor’s contributions to the development of various sectors in the state and pledged that the Bwatiye people would continue to remain loyal and supportive to the PDP from the grassroots to the state level.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Mr. Joab Sama, said the visit was aimed at identifying with the PDP at the state level in recognition of the transformational strides recorded under Governor Fintiri’s administration.
Sama urged the Bwatiye people and other party supporters to remain steadfast and loyal for greater success.
“We felt it is necessary for us to come and register our presence and identify with the People’s Democratic Party at the state level. We are going to remain loyal to the PDP government and continue to build this home until success is achieved,” he stated.
