Adamawa Police Nab 567 Suspects in Major Mid-2025 Security Operations

Adamawa State Police Command has made significant achievements in its security operations at-the-mid of 2025, including major arrests such as Five hundred and Sixty Seven suspects who committed different offences in the state.

The Police Commissioner Morris Dankombo, gave the disclosure at a press briefing to showcase the successes of the Command’s operations within 2025 year under review, which was held at the Police Headquarters in Yola.

According to the Police Commissioner within the second quarter of 2025, the command has carried out various operations including sustained raiding of criminal hideouts and black spots that led to significant successces which was in line with their action plan to fight crime and criminality to the barest minimum.

“The suspects were arrested through collaborative efforts of the Anti kidnapping crack squad, Intelligent unit, tactical squad area commanders and divisional officers for offences such as kidnapping, culpable homicide, armed robbery, child trafficking, rape and sexual offences as well as shilla gangsterism” he stated.

The commissioner further said within the second quarter of the year also, they have arrested key suspects which included Mrs Ngozi Abdulwahab 43 years old resident of Jambutu in yola North local government and Mrs Uche Okoye 55, resident of kabiku Nnewi Anambra state who were caught responsible for multiple child stealing and trafficking from Adamawa to Anambra state and some other parts of the country.

“We have arrested two female suspects who specialise in stealing and trafficking of children, were we recently rescued 13 of those children and investigation in to the case is still in progress” he added.

Morris DanKombo thanked Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the state for his support in carrying out their operations and called on the people of Adamawa state to help the command in providing timely and credible information that will help in protecting lives and properties of the people of the state.

During the briefing the command recovered 6 A k 47 rifles, Three pump action gun, Eleven fabricated assault, Three stolen vehicles Five Tricycles, Four Motorcycles and two gas cylinders among others.
