Adamawa: Sen. Yaroe’s Foundation Medical Outreach Treats 1,500 Constituents

Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe’s foundation through its free medical outreach program has treated 1,500 residents with different health challenges in Adamawa state.

The outreach was conducted at a local healthcare centre in Banjiram town with a massive turnout of rural dwellers from its surrounding villages over the weekend in Guyuk local government area of the Adamawa southern senatorial district.

Leader of the medical team, Dr.Jama Medan revealed o the media after the outreach that, the medical outing initially targeted 2000 people but only 1,500 were abled to accessed the exercise.

Medan disclosed that out of the total number of patients attended to by his team,ten(10) patients had undergone successful surgeries carried out on them during the outreach.

He explained that,this medical outreach came with a difference compared to the previous ones undertaken in other parts of the constituency.

He added that the new partnership the Binos foundation entered with  Life Full Company and some student doctors serving their primary assignment with NYSC  in the state.

According to him,some of the peculiar cases were referred to Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital Yola, respectively.

A beneficiary of the outreach, Mal. Dahiru Yusuf  in an interview with journalists said that, the medical outreach is for all and sundry devoid of any political,tribal or religious considerations.

He announced that, he is a card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress,APC in the area but he was accorded medical attention with out any discrimination commending Senator Yaroe for the gesture.

According to him, “I now understand that politics is not about political parties, it is based on what politicians can do for their people. As I am talking to you, I am a member of the APC, but I cannot deny the fact that Senator Binos is working for the betterment of us; his constituents.

“One good thing about the medical outreach is that people from various political parties can benefit. Nobody asks anybody of his or her political party or religion; it is a programme that all people will benefit. I sincerely want to thank Senator Binos for such a kind gesture”.

Ward Head of Banjiram, Mr Justine Monday, who was noticed visibly delighted confessed that, the exercise was the first in the history of Banjiram and environs, registering the gratitude of his  subjects to Senator Yaroe.

He therefore  called on his subjects to support the lawmaker to enable him provide more dividends of democracy and good representation.

Earlier in an interview with journalists at the venue of the program,Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe appreciated the support and cooperation from the partners, the Life Full Company and the Nigeria Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Yaroe noted that the partnership became necessary in order to meet up with the arising cases of health challenges in rural communities, adding that such partnership would continue on a larger scale at the forthcoming 4-day mega outreach at Numan LGA in November this year.

Senator Yaroe attributed the success of the free medical outreach project to the support by the Adamawa State government and the paramount leader of the lunguda traditional council under the leadership of Kwandi Nunguraya, HRM, Sir Dr. Kuruhaye Dishion Dansanda ll, for his royal consent for the outreach in his domain (Banjiram community).
