Adamawa Senator pledges more empowerment for youths as set of 50 ends training on solar energy

The fifty (50) youths drawn from nine (9) local government areas of Adamawa southern senatorial zone by Senator Binos Yaroe’s Foundation have completed the 5 days intensive training on the renewable solar energy technology.

Charging the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the knowledge impacted on them,team leader of the trainers (experts) from the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Chief Daddi Bamaiyi said the training is a platform to exposing trainees on modern techniques on replacing  fossil fuels with renewable energy.

thanked the senator for his passion and commitment towards the welfare of his people noting that, the training will provide an enduring lifetime benefit for the beneficiaries especially as the world is changing in all ramifications by the day.

Bamaiyi told the senator that the exercise was worthwhile as the beneficiaries have shown passion, dedication and commitment during the five day training adding that no fewer than 15 participants including graduates of electrical engineering passed the final test with distinction.

He proudly announced that, the training has groomed the participants on repairs on solar street lights, couple solar panels to boreholes and other services for their communities stressing that they all passed the test in flying colors.

In his keynote address,the sponsor of the exercise and Senator representing Adamawa South senatorial zone, Sen. Binos Dauda Yaroe who noticed visibly happy expressed satisfaction with performance of both the technical partners and the beneficiaries for a job well done.

Senator Yaroe noted that Adamawa south senatorial district is blessed with high solar radiation which is a natural source of renewable energy pledging to commit more time and resources towards ensuring sustainable livelihood for youths of his constituency

He noted that the compelling need to shift from fossil fuel to renewable energy entails his passion and zeal to organize the training for the youth noting that such training will equip the youth with a sustainable life incomes

He urged the participants to use the knowledge acquired to empower themselves and their communities promising to bankroll the second and third phases of the training to ensure that the area has well grounded solar energy technicians.

“With your training as solar technicians,l have no reason to call technicians from Abuja to repair my solar panels and other equipments whenever they are faulty as ready made technicians are already on ground”.Senator maintained.

In a good will message at the event, the Commissioners of information and strategy, Mrs Neido Geoffrey Kofulto and Women affairs, Mrs Wunfe Anthony, thanked the senator for coming to the rescue of youths by providing them with such important skills reiterating that, the action will drastically reduce crime and youth restiveness in the area.

Also responding on behalf of the  beneficiaries, Isa Abdurrahaman Shelleng and Richard Raymond said they were overwhelmed by the gesture of the senator who taught them how to catch fish instead of giving them fish.

They thanked the senator for providing them with working tools promising to make judicial use of them for the uplighment of humanity and their societies.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of certificates of attendance and donation of a rickshaw to the only person with disability to aide his movements.
