ADSI Empowers 50 Widows in Kano
The Arewa Development Support Initiative (ADSI) has empowered 50 less privileged widows in Kano State with a grant of fifty thousand naira each to boost their businesses.
Speaking at the event on Sunday, the association’s Chairman, Professor Aliyu Abdu, stated that the selected beneficiaries are widows with small businesses in dire need of support.
He added that ADSI is a non-profit organization established to facilitate idea sharing among Arewa people for regional development.
Through a monthly contribution of at least 2,000 naira, the organization funds skills acquisition programs to uplift the poor and address some of the region’s pressing challenges.
Professor Abdu further mentioned that the association provided significant support to underprivileged individuals, including a 2.5 million naira donation of materials to the Goron Dutse remand home last year.
He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the support effectively to grow their businesses.
He also thanked the national leadership of the association for giving their tireless support whenever the need arose.
Zara’u Nasarasu from Sallari Babban Giji expressed her gratitude to the association and offered prayers for the well-being of its members and their families.
Halima Abdullahi from Sabowar Gandu also thanked the association and pledged to use the support to expand her business and support her orphans.
