African Neuroscientists Recognize Gov. Buni for Support to Science

The Society of Neuroscientists of Africa has admitted Governor Mai Mala Buni into its Hall of Fame for his support to science and research.
According to a statement by Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, the award was presented by Prof. Bello Kawuwa, Yobe State Commissioner for Higher Education, during a formal event.
The Society announced plans to collaborate with the Yobe State Biomedical Research and Training Center to establish it as a regional hub for science and research in Africa.
It also urged the Yobe State Government to create a legal framework for dedicated funding to ensure sustainability of science and research programs.
Governor Buni, in response, reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting science, research, and innovation.
Governor Buni was represented at the International Conference of the Society of Neuroscientists of Africa in Marrakech, Morocco, by Prof. Muhammad Bello Kawuwa, Commissioner for Higher Education, and Barrister Ahmed Mustapha Goniri, Chairman of the Yobe State University Governing Council.
