Ahmadiyya College Kano to storm Lagos for National Milo b/ball finals

Ahmadiyya College basketball teams (boys and girls) are expected to leave Kano on Thursday to Lagos ahead of the 25th edition of National Milo basketball finals.

The Ahmadiyya College who were selected as the best losers after the just concluded zonal conferences held in Kano, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Asaba in Delta state and Ibadan, Oyo state while the final has been fixed between June 19th and 27th, 2025 at the indoor sports Hall of the national stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The annual tournament which is being organized by Nigerian School Sports Federation (NSSF) inconjuction with other relevant agencies for over two decades has produce national and international basketball stars.

Speaking on the Pyramids team’s preparations, the head school sports of the state ministry of education, Malam Ibrahim Bello said both teams boys and girls were received a vigorous training aimed at ensuring the state excel while in Lagos.

Malam Ibrahim Bello assured that with the caliber of the players assembling in the teams, the sky will be their limit.

While expressing appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the state commissioner of education, Gwani Ali Haruna Makoda as well as the key stakeholders in the ministry for their support, assuring that the teams will not disappoint the state.

The director, however, warned the students to avoid anything capable of denting the good image of the state before, during and after the championship.

Ten basketball teams both boys and girls across the country are expected to compete in the championships as the overall winners are to represent the country in the upcoming World Inter Secondary Schools Competition later in the year.
