Air Force Primary School Kano Hosts 22nd Inter-House Sports Competition

The Air Force Primary School, Kano, has held its 22nd Inter – House Sports Competition for the 2025/2026 academic session, in a colourful ceremony filled with energy, talent, and sportsmanship.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Host Commander of 455 Base Services Group Kano, Group Captain M. Sulaiman said the gathering reflects a collective commitment to nurturing well-rounded pupils who excel not only academically, but physically, morally, and socially.
He stressed that sports remained an essential component of the Nigerian Air Force educational philosophy, as it instills values of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and fairness, all of which are vital for future leadership and national development.
He encouraged the pupils to continue to develop their talents, believe in themselves, and always demonstrate strength, skills, and true sportsmanship.
Also speaking, the Special Guest of Honour, Commander of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Bukavu Barracks, Brigadier General Ahmed Muhammed Tukur, who officially declared the event open, described the competition as a pillar in moulding disciplined and confidence in the children who will become tomorrow’s leaders.
Among the dignitaries at were the Registrar of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Brigadier General O.A. Ogunleye, and other co-located commanders, who later presented medals and trophies to the outstanding pupils.
In his vote of thanks, the Education Officer, Flight Lieutenant A. Adamu, appreciated the efforts of the dedicated teachers, coaches, and organizing committee, for their hardwork before, during, and after the event.
At the end of competition
Red House emerged overall winner, securing 10 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze bringing a total of 16 medals.
Blue House came second with 14 medals.
-Yellow House was placed third with 12 medals.
Green House finished fourth, also with 12 medals.

100 metres race senior primary boys and girls

4 X 100 meters relay race boys and girls
Bicycle race
The event ended with excitement and cheers from staff, parents and pupils making another successful step in the schools commitment to academic and athletics excellence.
