Akwa Ibom CP Hosts NIPR Delegates to Dinner, Strengthens Professional Bonds

The Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, CP Baba Mohammed Azare has demonstrated exceptional hospitality by hosting a dinner for delegates from Kano, Bauchi, Jigawa, Gombe, Adamawa and Yobe States who are in Uyo for the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of council members.

The dinner, which was attended by notable personalities including the Bauchi State Commissioner of Information Allaji Usman Shehu Usman, his Jigawa state counterpart Alhaji Sagir Musa, SA Media to Bauchi State Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, Dr Sule Ya’u Sule, and former Commissioner of Education in Bauchi State Dr Jamila Dahiru Mohammed, as well as Registrar ATBU Alhaji Kabiru and Lamara Garba Director Public Affairs Bayero University, Kano, was a grand success.

During the dinner, CP Baba Mohammed Who is a Member of NIPR Kano State Chapter, expressed deep appreciation to the delegates for honoring his invitation, describing it as a courtesy.

He also commended the Kano delegates for their warm relationship with him, stating that Kano has a special place in his heart.

According to him, he started his career as a police officer in Kano and came to the limelight which will forever be in his heart.

“Kano is more than home to me, I got my everything in Kano, did my University in BUK, attended Police Academy Wudil, began my career as an officer in Kano and rise to stardom in Kano. The people of Kano received and assisted me in everything, so much that I will never forget it as long as I am alive. That’s why I am always praying for an opportunity to come where I can also show my appreciation whenever I see any Kano person”, he declared.

As for Bauchi and Gombe states these are my states, so, I have a responsibility to honour them anywhere and day.

In his remarks, Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule thanked CP Baba Mohammed for the warm reception and hospitality extended to the delegates, particularly in providing comfortable accommodation, feeding, and logistics arrangements. The delegates expressed their happiness and gratitude for the CP’s kindness and generosity.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for information Bauchi State, Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman expressed gratitude for the reception and said words alone can not convey adequately their gratitude. He prayed Almighty, Allah to reward him abundantly.

The dinner was an attestation to CP Baba Mohammed’s commitment to building strong relationships and fostering goodwill among professionals in the state.

In addition to the dinner CP Azare also gave free accommodation and feeding throughout their stay to all the Kano delegates numbering 11.
