Al Boraq, the logistical backbone driving the success of AFCON 2025 in Morocco
Morocco has achieved a remarkable feat while hosting the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations through a modern transport infrastructure led by the high speed train Al Boraq.
The system has played a central role in reducing distances, travel time, and fatigue for teams, officials, media professionals, and supporters.
Morocco’s organizational approach is built on bringing geography closer to sport through closely located stadiums, quality accommodation, and fast and secure connectivity between host cities.
Linking Tangier to Rabat and Casablanca at speeds exceeding 300 kilometers per hour, Al Boraq has enabled travel between host cities in a matter of hours rather than an entire day.
Rabat has emerged as the nerve center of the tournament, benefiting directly from the high speed rail extension alongside its airport links and proximity to Casablanca.
The capital hosts four major stadiums, including the fully rebuilt Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex with a capacity of 68,000 spectators, which is set to host the opening match and the final. The venue is easily accessible via the national transport network, including Al Boraq.
