Alh. Sagir Sani Rano Celebrates Hon. Kabiru Rurum at 55, Commends Developmental Achievements

Alhaji Sagir Sani Rano has commended the former Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and the current member representing the Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum (Turakin Rano), for his significant contributions to the development of the constituency.

Alhaji Sagir, a philanthropist from Rano Local Government Area, expressed these appreciations in a birthday message celebrating Hon. Rurum’s 55th birthday, which was shared with journalists in Kano.

In his message, Alhaji Sagir Rano stated, “As we celebrate 55 years of extraordinary life and achievements of Rt. Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, the Turakin Rano, I, Hon. Sagir Sani Rano, am deeply honored to extend my heartfelt birthday wishes to a distinguished patriot, an inspiring leader, and a devoted servant of the people.”

Sagir Rano emphasized Rurum’s unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the welfare of his constituents.

“Kabiru Rurum’s life story exemplifies resilience, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people. From his formative days in politics to his achievements in public service, he has consistently demonstrated a zeal for justice and equity. His advocacy for the needs of the common man sets him apart,” he noted.

Highlighting Rurum’s achievements, Sagir referenced developmental projects such as the construction of roads from Rano to Madachi, from Zinyau to Kasuwar Dila, and from Kibiya to Nariya to Bacha in Kibiya Local Government, as well as from Rano to Barkum to Kumurya to Kwanar Garko and from Kulluwa to Shiye in Bunkure Local Government.

He added that Hon. Rurum had also constructed schools, healthcare centers in different parts of his constituency, and the establishment of the Air Force Girls Secondary School in Rano.

“Your legacy spans your tenure as Speaker of the 8th Kano State House of Assembly to your representation of Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure in the National Assembly. Through your leadership, you have initiated projects including the construction of roads, schools, healthcare centers, and the establishment of institutions such as the Air Force Girls Secondary School in Rano. These accomplishments have profoundly impacted the lives of your constituents,” he said.

He also lauded Rurum’s efforts in providing scholarships and implementing empowerment programs aimed at developing human capital among women and youth in his constituency.

“Beyond infrastructure, your empowerment programs for thousands of women and youth, along with scholarships for underprivileged students from Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, reflect your commitment to empowering individuals and uplifting communities,” Sagiru said.

Alhaji Sagir Rano further praised Rurum’s determination in overcoming challenges and his relentless pursuit of progress. He also thanked him on behalf of the people of Madachi Ward for the construction of the road linking Madachi to Rano.

“Your courage in navigating challenges, dedication to truth, and pursuit of progress set a benchmark for leadership. You embody the values of service and vision that inspire others to work for a better society. Regarding the construction of the Madachi to Rano road, on behalf of all Ward community members, we thank you and commend your efforts,” he added.

Concluding his message, Alhaji Sagir prayed for Hon. Kabiru Rurum’s continued health, wisdom, and strength.
