Ali Nuhu, the Managing Director of the Nigeria Film Corporation, in collaboration with NABEEN Textiles, has donated foodstuffs, medicines, and other essential items to the Nassarawa Children’s Home in Kano.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Ali Nuhu emphasized the importance of supporting and improving the lives of children, particularly in the area of education.

“We felt it is only right for us to champion a course in bettering the lives of children in the aspect of their education,” he said.

He highlighted the alarming issue of children being out of school and the learning crisis facing the country. According to him, this is a problem that requires immediate attention.

“We found out that a lot of children are out of school, and there is a learning crisis across the country which needs to be addressed.”

Ali Nuhu urged the government, parents, and society at large to join forces in addressing these challenges.

“All hands have to be on deck. The government, children’s parents and influential people in the society have to come together to help in Championing the course.”

“We are donating some food items, medicines, some essential needs and a cash sum of five hundred thousand Naira.”

He called on society to emulate what they are doing as a lot of families can hardly cater for their children’s needs.

As part of their commitment, NABEEN Textiles has pledged to donate a portion of their sales to support the less privileged in society. In addition to food and medical supplies, the donation included a cash sum of five hundred thousand Naira.

In response, Hajia Aisha Gezawa, Director of the child unit at the Nassarawa Children’s Home, expressed her gratitude to the donors and urged others, including philanthropists, to join in supporting the children at the orphanage.
