AMG Foundation Commits to Supporting Women, Girls in Babban Giji Community

Malam Suleiman Umar Jalo, the Director of Operations at Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) Foundation, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to providing increased support to women and girls in the Sallari community to ensure improved health and hygiene.
This declaration was made known to journalists during the Babban Giji community outreach, a collaborative effort between AMG Foundation and the Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS).
Jalo underscored the foundation’s alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing its aim to generate positive outcomes within the society. “We have been invited by Babban Giji to extend our support in promoting accessible health services,” he stated.
As part of their initiative, the foundation donated antenatal care medical drugs tailored for pregnant women and distributed sanitary pads to 50 young girls to encourage proper hygiene during menstruation.
Malam Muhammad Isma’il Idris, Chairman of the Babban Giji Community Development Association, highlighted the significance of supporting young girls with sanitary pads and conducting community sensitization programs.
“This approach has been pivotal in promoting personal hygiene and addressing reported abuses against adolescent girls,” he commented.
The collaborative efforts between AMG Foundation and local associations reflect a collective commitment to enhancing the well-being and health of women and girls in the Babban Giji community.
