AMG Foundation Urges CSACEFA to Support Implementation Of ETF in Kano

By Hannatu Sulaiman Abba

In a recent development regarding education, the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA) has praised the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation for its significant support in establishing four toilets in Gaida town, Kumbotso Local Government Area.

Dr. Auwal Halilu, the state chairman, highlighted the purpose of the interaction to acknowledge the AMG Foundation’s swift intervention in constructing four toilets within a month and contributing half a million to the Geza community in Kumbotso LGA.

“CSACEFA consistently advocates for quality education. Our concern arose during a visit to the community, observing a girl above the age of 10 struggling due to a lack of accessible toilets, resorting to public spaces for relief. It’s a distressing situation,” Dr. Halilu expressed.

Dr. Aminu Magashi, Chairman of the AMG Foundation, lauded CSACEFA’s quick response to the Geza school toilets intervention and expressed commitment to supporting CSACEFA in engaging stakeholders and the government, particularly regarding the Kano Education Trust Fund, a topic previously mentioned by State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“CSACEFA should leverage the Kano Blueprint of the 2023 election to urge the Governor on the ‘1 Child, 1 Desk’ policy. This initiative will elevate education standards and quality in the state,” Dr. Magashi emphasized.
