APC Sweeps Yobe LG Polls, Wins All 17 Chairmanship, 178 Councillorship Seats

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the local government elections held in Yobe State on Saturday, winning all 17 chairmanship and 178 councillorship seats.
The Chairman of the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (YOIEC), Dr. Mamman Muhammad, announced the results at a press conference at the commission’s headquarters in Damaturu on Sunday.
He declared that the APC won all the 17 local government chairmanship seats and the 178 councillorship seats in the state.
Dr. Muhammad commended the electorate for ensuring that the polls were free and peaceful. He praised the voters for their civic responsibility and enthusiasm, which led to a successful and hitch-free election.
The Chairman also confirmed that the commission had received, considered, validated, and adopted the results of each of the 178 councillorship wards in the state.
He reiterated that the APC had won all the seats contested, solidifying its dominance in Yobe State’s local government politics.
