BENMC appoints Abdulkadir Aliyu Shehu as Zonal Director Media/Publicity for North West Region
In a significant development, the National Directorate of the Betta Edu New Media Centre (BENMC) has officially announced the appointment of Abdulkadir Aliyu Shehu as the Zonal Director for Media and Publicity in the North West region.
The appointment of Abdulkadir Aliyu Shehu, a seasoned journalist with a degree in Mass Communications, takes immediate effect, marking a new era in media representation for the North West.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by BENMC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Saeed Tijjani.
According to Tijjani, Mr. Shehu’s career in journalism is studded with numerous accolades, including the “Young Journalist of the Year 2019,” “Best Presenter of the Year 2021,” and “Best Media Personnel 2021.” These awards reflect his outstanding contributions to the field of media and journalism.
Over the years, Shehu has demonstrated his dedication to the profession by serving in various crucial roles such as Program Manager, Northern Coordinator Buhari New Media Center; Member Presidential Campaign Council Contact and Mobilisation 2019, Member Presidential Campaign Council Media and Publicity 2023 and Chairman Media and Publicity, Presidential Campaign Council (Gombe) 2023.
With this extensive experience, Mr. Shehu brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role at BENMC.
His appointment is expected to enhance the center’s media and publicity efforts in the North West region.
