Borno Lawmaker’s daughter murdered in Maiduguri

The daughter of a Borno State House of Assembly member representing Ngala, Hon. Bukar Abacha, was strangled to death by unknown persons in Maiduguri on October 17, 2023.
The victim’s husband found her lifeless body in their house with her hands and legs tied behind her back, while their two-year-old child was crying.
He took the body to the Gwange Police Division, which evacuated it to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for autopsy and investigation.
The incident caused tension and pandemonium in the area, attracting a large crowd of residents who thronged the scene.
The police have not yet released any information about the suspects or the motive for the killing.
