Bowen University Student Makes History with 5.0 CGPA

A graduate of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, Lotechukwu Isioma Ikpo, has made history as the first student to achieve a perfect 5.00/5.00 CGPA in the university’s history.
The university announced this feat on its official Facebook page on Monday, describing her journey as one marked by resilience, discipline, and inspiration.
“At our 25th Convocation Ceremony, one name lit up the hall — Lotechukwu Isioma Ikpo! Declared the Best Graduating Student, she made history as the first-ever graduate with a perfect 5.0/5.0 CGPA at Bowen University,” the post read.
According to the institution, Lotechukwu’s achievement was even more remarkable given the personal challenges she faced, as she began with the Advanced Level Program and lost her father during her second year.
“With tears of joy, she walked the stage multiple times, collecting countless awards, including a fully funded Master’s scholarship! Her story shows that with passion and perseverance, there are no limits to what we can achieve. We’re so proud to be part of her journey,” the post added.
Her story stands as a testament to Nigerian youths that one can rise through challenges and succeed. It also reinforces that hard work pays and that education remains a powerful tool for transforming lives and shaping a better world.
