Breaking: Kano govt orders removal of Emir Aminu Bayero from palace
The Kano State Government has ordered the Commissioner of Police to relocate Aminu Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from his residence at Nasarawa GRA Mini Palace with immediate effect.
During a press conference on Thursday night, Haruna Dederi, the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, announced that the government has completed plans for the comprehensive reconstruction and renovation of the property.
This includes the immediate demolition and reconstruction of the dilapidated wall fence.
“The governor congratulates and call on the people of Kano to remain peaceful and celebrate the success without any hitch.”
This comes shortly after the Federal High Court’s ruling on the main lawsuit, affirming the validity of the Kano Emirate Council Repeal Law 2024 while voiding all actions carried out by Governor Abba Yusuf under the same law.
