BREAKING – Plateau: Gunmen Kill APC Scribe Namang

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed an official of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, Sylvanus Namang.
Namang was said to have died on Saturday night from injuries he sustained from the attack.
Namang was the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Plateau State before his demise.
Confirming the incident in a statement in Jos, the Police public relations officer of Plateau state command, Deputy Supretendant of Police, DSP Alfred Alabo, said the Command received information on the incident.
He said “Some unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers numbering about seven invaded a relaxation centre and kidnapped their owner, and in the process, one Sylvanus Namang was shot dead by the assailants”
Alabo explained that though, one sunny Okonkwo, occupant of the centre was rescued from the kidnappers but died in the hospital as a result of bullets and matchet injuries.
The statement while commiserating with families of the deceased, assured them that the Police is doing everything within its power to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators according to the law of the state. Adding that the suspects escaped with gun injuries.
Our correspondent reports that the Chairman of the APC in Plateau state Rufus Bature also confirmed the sad news to Journalists in Jos.
