BREAKING: Senate to Resolve Disagreements on Proposed Tax Reform Bills
The Senate has scheduled a meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation for Thursday to address areas of disagreement on the proposed Tax Reform Bills.
Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, announced the decision during Wednesday’s plenary, stating that it followed extensive deliberations by the Senate on the proposed reforms.
As part of the resolution, a special committee has been established to address the issues, with Senator Abba Moro, the Minority Leader, appointed as its chair.
In the meantime, the Senate Committee on Finance has been instructed to suspend further legislative actions on the bill until after the meeting with the Attorney General.
