CITAD Announces New Board Members, Int’l Advisory Committee

The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) has appointed three distinguished individuals to its board, replacing those stepping down due to term limitations.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by CITAD’s Executive  Director, YZ Ya’u on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the new board members include Hajiya Maryam Babayaro, a veteran journalist, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Aliyu, an academic at Bayero University, Kano, and Engr. Haruna Rabiu, a telecommunication engineer and President of Professional Bodies Association of Nigeria, Kano Chapter.

CITAD also reconstituted its International Advisory Board, welcoming eminent figures such as Prof. Paul Lubeck, Dr. Jummai Umar-Ajijola, Chief (Engr) C. O. Iromantu, Prof Amina Kaidal, Prof. Darren Kew, Dr. Malin Beckman, Mr. Ibrahim Tizhe, and Prof. Patrick Taylor.

Prof. Amina Kidal, Chair of CITAD’s Governing Board, expressed anticipation for the positive contributions of the new members.

Y. Z. Ya’u highlighted that these individuals have been actively involved in CITAD’s initiatives before their board elevation, emphasizing their familiarity with the organization’s goals. CITAD looks forward to collaborating with them for continued growth.
