CITN Inaugurates New District Society in Jigawa

The chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) inaugurated its district society in Dutse Jigawa state.

The inauguration that took place in Hasinah confectionery on Wednesday headed by the National President and Chairman of council CITN Mr Samuel O. Agbeluyi.

The president who earlier paid a courtesy visit to the emir of Dutse His royal Highness Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi assured more improvement on Taxation under the CITN leadership in the state.

“We feel it is right time to have a district society in Dutse Jigawa state to join our 40 district across the country for better development”, he said.

Those inaugurated as pioneer executive of CITN in the state include the Jigawa state accountant general Alhaji Abdullahi SG Shehu as chairman and Alhaji Nasiru Sabo Idris as deputy chairman.

Others are Garba Muhd Dutse as deputy vice chairman, Hassan Hashim secretary general, Tijjani Umar Assistant secretary general and Aliyu Hamza to serve as social and publicity secretary.

While delivering his remarks shortly after his inauguration, the pioneer chairman Alhaji Abdullahi SG Shehu assured inclusivity, accountability, and transperency among the members.

The new Chairman who described the taxation profession as best that Nigeria can depend to boost economic and prosper development.

He then promised to accept the responsibility with honest and urged members to support and cooperate with him to move the district forward.
