CP Dankombo Assumes Duty as 32nd Commissioner of Police in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has officially welcomed its new Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, who assumed duty as the 32nd Commissioner of Police deployed to Adamawa State.
The announcement was made by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesman of the command, in Yola on Wednesday.
CP Dankombo takes over from CP Afolabi Babatola, recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and redeployed to higher responsibilities as AIG in charge of Zone 3 Headquarters, supervising Adamawa and Taraba States.
Hailing from Kaltungu Local Government Area of Gombe State, CP Dankombo holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and an MA in International Relations.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has risen through the ranks.
Describing the new CP as a passionate, versatile, and experienced police administrator, SP Nguroje highlighted CP Dankombo’s extensive command positions and various tasks in his illustrious career.
At a brief taking-over ceremony at the state headquarters, CP Dankombo expressed gratitude to the Almighty God and police high authorities for the opportunity to serve his fatherland in this capacity.
He pledged to prioritize community policing and engagement with stakeholders, emphasizing adherence to international best practices and respect for fundamental human rights.
CP Dankombo solicited maximum support and cooperation from the public, urging citizens to provide credible information about crime and criminal activities, emphasizing that security is everyone’s business: “When you see something, you say something.”
