CSACEFA Donates Over 200 Textbooks to Orphans, Vulnerable Children in Kano

By Hannatu Sulaiman Abba

In an effort to enhance the quality of education across Nigeria, the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA) has distributed textbooks to children in Kano State.

Dr. Auwal Halilu, the CSACEFA Kano Coordinator, highlighted the persistent challenge faced by children, especially orphans and vulnerable ones, in accessing writing materials crucial for their education.

Through collaboration with Friend of The Community (FOCO), CSACEFA aims to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the state and pave the way for a brighter future for these children in various aspects of life.

The distribution of textbooks also included recognition and awards based on academic merit, intended to inspire other children within the communities to view them as role models irrespective of their personal or social circumstances.

CSACEFA has taken a proactive role in advocating for and implementing educational initiatives in Kano, focusing on projects aimed at enhancing girl child education.
