Danfulani is still the Chairman of Zamfara APC, Publicity Secretary insists

From Ibrahim Kaulahi, Gusau

The Zamfara State chapter of the APC has insisted that, the party is still intact, peaceful and united ever while enjoying the goodwill of its leaders and the good people of the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris, lamenting only that the mischief and envy of one person who wants to be everywhere and everything at the same time believing that money can buy off the party for him.

“Just last Wednesday, some few individuals led by the Zonal Vice Chairman of Zamfara West, Hon. Isiyaka Ajiya Anka and four other officials out of the 36 executive members of the party in the state addressed the press claiming to have taken over as the leadership of the party without recourse to the party constitution.

The statement further cried that, “They took over a shop where paint is sold and embarrassingly referred to it as their state APC secretariat and were inaugurated by a floor member of the party, Aliyu Abubakar MC, a former Tsafe Local Chairman who had never occupy any position in the party.

“These flagrant abuse of the party can no longer be condoned, and the APC under the Chairmanship of Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani in the state and the leadership of the Hon. Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, having done everything to ensure unity and fairness among members with the full backing of critical stakeholders like Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima and Alhaji Mamuda Aliyu Shinkafi among others will not allow these agents of destruction to spoil the good image of the party.

“We are aware that, the action and activities of this group of mischief makers is part of a grand plan to break the ranks of the APC and its good chances of continuity from the national level down to the states.

“The presidency and the national secretariat of our great party are aware of these people who had plotted and failed both in the 2019 and 2023 general elections.

“As they planned to hatch another bad one ahead of the 2027 elections, they should be informed that we are fully ready for them and the party they intended to float, which can certainly not match the APC.

“We will break their every move as long as they try to impair, overindulge, or mollycoddle the APC”, the statement has warned.
