Defence Minister, Gov. Namadi Lay Foundation for 1,500 Housing Units in Jigawa

The Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, and the Minister of Defense, Alhaji Muhammed Badaru Abubakar, jointly laid the foundation for a significant housing project comprising 1,500 units in Jigawa State.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Defense Minister praised the effort as a demonstration of commitment to advancing the state.
He commended Governor Umar Namadi’s leadership qualities, stating, “During the campaign, I told Jigawa people that His Excellency Umar Namadi is a gentleman, straightforward, prudent, and patriotic. If elected, he will not disappoint us. Thanks to God, today I am vindicated.”
Governor Namadi was lauded for building on the legacy of the state, with numerous projects benefiting the electorate executed within the last eight months.
The Defense Minister expressed delight at being part of the historic event, promising continued support for making Jigawa State prosper.
Governor Namadi, in his remarks, emphasized that the construction of the 1,500 houses aligns with his government’s commitment to providing affordable housing, a key aspect of his 12-point agenda.
He outlined the social and economic advantages of the project, citing job creation and increased accommodation availability.
The housing units will be strategically distributed across five emirate cities and three major urban towns, including Dutse, Hadejia, Kazaure, Gumel, Ringim, Birnin Kudu, Babura, and Kafin Hausa.
Governor Namadi assured phased execution of the mass housing project in line with the state’s development agenda, emphasizing the commitment to achieving high-quality results.
