Deputy Senate President mourns Kano’s famous activist, Comrade IG Maryam

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has mourned the famous Kano-based civil society activist, Comrade IG Maryam, who died yesterday.

This is contained in a statement Signed by Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser to the Deputy President of the Senate on Media and Publicity on Friday.

Senator Barau, in a condolence message, described the deceased as
a dedicated activist, who left behind a legacy of selfless service and commitment to positive change.

He extended his condolences to the family and associates of the late activist, praying to Allah to grant them the strength to bear the loss.

” His tireless efforts in the realm of humanitarian work, particularly in advancing transparency, accountability, and budget-tracking initiatives, have significantly impacted the lives of many. May his soul find eternal peace in Jannatul Firdausi” he said.
