DJAI Officials Visit Emir of Fika Ahead of October Charity Outreach in Potiskum

In preparation for its 7th annual charity programme scheduled for October 4 in Potiskum, Yobe State, the leadership of the Dangin Juna Afrika Initiative (DJAI) has paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Fika and Chairman, Yobe State Council of Chiefs, to seek royal support and blessings

Speaking during the meeting, the National Chairman of DJAI, Alhaji Usman Musa BK, expressed gratitude to the Fika Emirate Council for granting audience to the delegation.

He explained that the purpose of the visit was to formally seek collaboration with the Emirate ahead of the organisation’s humanitarian outreach.

Responding on behalf of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Fika, the Senior District Head of Ganama, Alhaji Adamu Ba’aba, commended DJAI for its proactive approach and respect for traditional protocols before commencing activities in the Emirate.

He emphasized the importance of working closely with district heads to identify the most vulnerable groups who stand to benefit from the charitable services.

He also urged DJAI to involve the Emirate Council in planning and implementation to ensure that local insights and leadership are incorporated into the programme.

Alhaji Ba’aba further conveyed the Emir’s appreciation and blessings, noting that the Emirate was delighted that Potiskum was chosen as a beneficiary of the outreach.

During the interactive session, the Secretary of the Emirate Council sought clarification on the specific nature of the humanitarian services to be provided.

In response, DJAI Chairman, Alhaji Usman Musa BK, explained that activities are usually proposed by the organisation’s local chapters in line with its constitution, after which the National Executive Committee reviews and approves them based on relevance, impact, and available resources.

He noted that the October programme may feature food distribution, medical outreach, educational support, empowerment initiatives, and other welfare-based interventions.
