Eid-el-Fitr:Kano Police Command Warns Against Unlawful,Disorderly Conducts

The Kano State Police Command has warned that it will not tolerate unlawful and disorderly behaviours during the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in the state.
The command sounded the warning in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer,CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa,on Thursday.
“Members of the public are therefore, advised to adhere to peaceful conducts and respect the rights of others, to help sustain the maintenance of public safety and order in the state, throughout the festive period.
“Unlawful and disorderly behaviours of any kind will not be tolerated. Citizens are to obey all police/security directives, especially on restriction of certain activities, during the celebrations,” Kiyawa said.
According to him,all security apparatus in the state have been fully activated to deal decisively with anyone who tries to disrupt the peace.
He said the Kano State Government, the joint security agencies, comprising the Police and other Security Agencies, had put robust security measures in place for peaceful Eid-El-Fitr celebrations, and would remain steadfast and resolute in maintaining law and order in all parts of the State.
“The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori,urges parents and guardians to caution their children/wards against being used by subversive elements, and warns that anyone who disrupts the peace will face prosecution.
“The Kano State Police Command assures the public of its commitment to ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
“We appeal to the public to cooperate with security agencies and report any incidents or suspicious activities to the following numbers: 08032419754, 08123821575, or 09029292926.
“The Kano State Police Command extends its warmest congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on witnessing the last days of the holy month of Ramadan and wishes them a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration. We pray for peace, security, and stability in the State, and that the festivities are enjoyed by all,” the statement added.
