Eleven Suspected Criminals Arrested by Kano’s NSCDC

In a joint operation by security agencies attached to Kano State government’s Taskforce on combating phone theft and illicit drugs, eleven suspected criminals have been apprehended.

The statement, released on Thursday and signed by SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the Civil Defence Public Relations Officer for the Kano command, outlined that the suspects were captured in areas including Sabon Gari, Fagge, Kantin Kwari Market, and Kofar Mata. They were found in possession of dangerous weapons and various illicit drugs, including swords, knives, scissors, “suck and die” (sukudayen), and gum solution. These individuals are believed to have been involved in phone snatching, vandalism, drug peddling, and theft, terrorizing the areas.

“The Kano’s NSCDC Intelligence and Investigation department has completed all necessary investigations, and the suspects have since been charged to court,” Abdullahi said.
