Emir Sanusi prays for unity, progress in 1446AH

The 16th Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, has extended his warmest felicitations to the people of Kano on the occasion of the successful completion of the Islamic calendar year 1445 AH and the commencement of 1446 AH.

This was contained in a statement signed by Sa’adatu Baba Ahmad on Sunday.

According to the statement, the Emir expressed his sincere wishes for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead to the entire Muslim community.

“I offer my heartfelt congratulations to the people of Kano and the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Islamic year 1445 AH and the beginning of 1446 AH,” he stated.

The Emir specifically extended his best regards to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. 

“I particularly extend my best wishes to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and pray for his continued success in leading Kano State,” the Emir added.

In his prayers, the Sarkin Kano invoked divine blessings for the nation, President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and Sultan Abubakar Sa’ad. 

“I pray for President Tinubu and Sultan Abubakar Sa’ad, who are dedicated to promoting peace, unity, and progress in the Muslim Ummah and Nigeria at large,” he said.

The Emir also supplicated for an end to conflicts among Muslims and for the harmonious harnessing of Nigeria’s diversity for the betterment of all citizens. 

“May Allah grant us peace and unity, and may we harness our diversity for the progress of our nation,” he prayed.

“I urge everyone to uphold peace and stability during these celebrations,” he advised.
